Since so many articles and web sites about breast cancer are about breast reconstruction, or breast prostheses, I thought it would be useful to list some links to web sites that deal with women who choose instead to have flat chests. Why can't this be a good option for many more women? Please note the distinct lack of pink and purple on this web site.

The next two links are really useful to see what a flat chest looks like after surgery. Thanks to Rocki for posting both the web site and the youtube video.

The following page shows various results of what the chest looks like after a mastectomy. You can see that the results really vary. It seems a big question to me about why there isn't more research or focus on how to leave a nice-looking flat chest. How can you plan your surgery to help ensure such a nice outcome?

Can we learn something from trans people who are undergoing top surgery? Clearly there are differences between this situation and when breasts must be removed because of cancer, but maybe some of the ideas of what looks like a nice flat chest might worth thinking about.
